Equipment:
- Spatula
- Stirring rod
- Beaker
- Measuring cylinder
- Calcium Chloride
- Magnesium Oxide
Method:
- Fill the beaker with 100mL of tap water.
- Add a level spatula scoop of Calcium Chloride.
- Stir the solution until all of the Calcium Chloride has dissolved.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more Calcium Chloride will dissolve into the solution.
- Record how many spatula scoops of Calcium Chloride were added.
- Repeat the experiment with the Magnesium Oxide.
Magnesium = 5 spatula scoops
Calcium Chloride = 7 spautla scoops
